SAVE THE DATE FOR 2021'S ROSE, WHITE AND BLUE CELEBRATION!
COVID-MODIFIED ROSE, WHITE AND BLUE CELEBRATION 2021 Dateline: San José, CA March 2021 – The Executive Board expects to plan a COVID-Modified 14th Annual Rose, White and Blue celebration on the Fourth of July this year. Based on the guidelines set by the California Governor and the Health Department of Santa Clara County, The Rose, White and Blue Parade & Festival Board hopes to have a hybrid community celebration for 2021, continuing the tradition of showcasing residents, businesses and organizations of San José and the greater Bay Area in celebration of diversity, public spirit, and our floral/agricultural heritage. The health and well-being of our community remains our strongest priority, and planned events will be subject to be in line with the scientific approach that has been put in place by the state’s governor and health officials who continue to fight COVID-19. The status of the festival and parade may still be subject to change, or cancellation, over the next few weeks/months, and will be decided upon cohesively with our partners and community leaders. It is our hope that by May 31, 2021 the Board will have a clearer idea about the details of the Rose, White and Blue event, and the type of alternative celebration that can highlight artists, community groups, and organizations. The Rose, White, and Blue Parade is a much-beloved annual event in San José’s Rose Garden–area neighborhoods along The Alameda, which has a rich history of parades, including the Carnival of Roses and the Fiesta De las Rosas. This year, we celebrate our 12th Anniversary, making this the longest running parade in the history of The Alameda.
