A historic community parade and festival that brings together residents, businesses and organizations of San José and the greater Bay Area in celebration of diversity, public spirit, and our floral/agricultural heritage.
2020 Rose, White and Blue Parade CANCELLED Due to COVID-19
ROSE, WHITE AND BLUE PARADE CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
Dateline: San José, CA June 2020 – The originally postponed 13th Annual Rose, White and Blue Parade & Festival will be cancelled this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Though the Executive Board remained optimistic to hold a September 2020 iteration of this tradition of showcasing residents, businesses and organizations of San José and the greater Bay Area in celebrating diversity, public spirit, and our floral/agricultural heritage, it is clear that the global impact of COVID-19 will continue for the foreseeable future.
Based on the guidelines set by the California Governor and the Health Department of Santa Clara County, the Rose, White and Blue Parade & Festival Board has decided to cancel in-person events until 2021. The health and well-being of our community remains our strongest priority; cancelling this year’s festivities is the right thing to do and is in line with the scientific approach that has been put in place by the state’s governor and health officials to fight COVID-19.
We hope that the community instead joins us for an online celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2020 on our facebook page @RoseWhiteBlueParade. We encourage all community residents, businesses, organizations, and artists to participate by photographing and/or filming themselves performing, or sending well-wishes to the community. For the full set of guidelines to participate, please visit rwbsj.org/parade-participation.

The Rose, White, and Blue Parade is a much-beloved annual event in San José’s Rose Garden–area neighborhoods along The Alameda, which has a rich history of parades, including the Carnival of Roses and the Fiesta De las Rosas. This year, we celebrate our 12th Anniversary, making this the longest running parade in the history of The Alameda.
