Magical Nights - Saigon Surf Twist & Soul (1964-1966)
Lost tracks recovered and remastered

Phuong Tâm is one of our Womanhood Project Community Catalyst Grand Marshals and Parade Honorees and we didn't want you to miss out on her amazing background.  Follow her Instagram @Phuong_Tam_Official and Facebook @Phuong.Tam.Official .

During a time when most recordings of music in Vietnam were folk and traditional opera, Phuong Tâm was Vietnam’s first original rock artist. Written in the 1960s, Tâm’s original Saigon surf and soul music later became available to the Western world. Phuong Tâm emigrated to Fort Chaffee in Arkansas, and in 1980 moved to San José, where she raised her family and resides today. In March 2022, her complete recorded discography will be reissued for the first time ever by record label Sublime Frequencies. All Tâm’s recorded material was recorded quickly between the years 1964-1966 before the fall of Saigon in 1975.
